August 10th "BACKPACK FOOD FOR KIDS" ANNUAL FUNDRAISER ROUND ROBIN

We invite everyone to participate in the "BackpackFood for Kids" Round Robin on Monday, August 10th.
Please note:
Check in at 6:00 P.M.
Play will start at 6:30 P.M.

This is an SCPA fundraiser event for our community of kids.

SCPA membership IS NOT required to participate.

You do NOT have to play in the round robin to make a donation to this worthy cause.

In the upcoming school year, Backpack Food for Kids (BPFFK) program will serve over 400 students from all 11 elementary schools in the Griffin-Spalding County School System, who

experience food insecurity.

Every Friday, the students are provided with backpacks of non-perishable food items to sustain them over the weekend during the school year.

There is a $15 minimum donation to play in the Round Robin, but you can choose any of the amounts listed to go toward the kids.

There is also a “Donate Only” button below, if you are not able to join us in the Round Robin.

We would love to have 72 players and fill up our courts!!

This fundraiser is sponsored by the Spalding County Pickleball Association and approved by Griffin-Spalding County Schools.

All donations from the Round Robin will go directly to the Backpack Food for Kids Program and be administered by the Spalding County Collaborative Authority for Families and Children.

Deadline for the round robin registration is noon on Friday, August 7th.

Please note:  Any donation DOES NOT apply to SCPA membership. It is a donation only, intended to support the BPFFK program.

 When you arrive you will be assigned a number. Your number remains yours throughout the session and dictates which court you play on, with whom you are playing as a partner, and against which opponents. 

 By the end of six games you will have played with six different partners and against 12 different opponents! You may have a “bye” (where you sit out for one game) if there is an uneven number of players signed up. A seventh game consisting of the “bye” players enables everybody to play six games.

for a fun-filled evening of organized pickleball.
