The Spalding County Santa Sheriff Round Robin is one of the special events organized by the SCPA.

It is a fun and friendly competition where  players of all skill levels can participate and donate to the Santa Sheriff's fund.

The fund is used to provide underprivileged youth in Spalding County with a shopping spree with Santa and members of the Spalding County Sheriff's Office.

This Round Robin event was inspired by Jeffrey Sharrett, a retired law officer and SCPA board member, who tragically passed away last year.

If you are unable to attend, please click here to make a donation.

You may also make a donation to the fund if you are not playing in the round robin.

You can donate to the fund with cash, credit card, or check during the Round Robin, or by writing a check to the SCPA and entering Santa Sheriff on the memo line and giving it to a SCPA board member by December 1, 2023.

The Round Robin will take place at 10:00 a.m. on November 24th. Participants should arrive at or before 9:30 a.m.

We believe everyone will have a great time playing pickleball and supporting this worthy event. Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness!

The “round robin” is a structured form of play organized by skill levels. In the time allocated to each round robin session, you will play six games, each with a different partner and against a different pair of opponents. It is designed so that all players are playing against people of roughly equal ability, which makes play the most fun and competitive for most players.

When you arrive you will be assigned a number. Your number remains yours throughout the session and dictates which court you play on, with whom you are playing as a partner, and against which opponents.

By the end of six games you will have played with six different partners and against 12 different opponents! You may have a “bye” (where you sit out for one game) if there is an uneven number of players signed up. A seventh game consisting of the “bye” players enables everybody to play six games.
